Keywords in OPEN DISCOVERY give users the ability to define lists of search terms (including words, phrases, or expressions) and immediately find documents containing those key terms. Keyword searching assists with document review and is a basic text search of all indexed fields.
If you’ve taken a gander at Keyword Management within the Review & Transcripts module lately, you may have noticed how diff

You may be asking yourself, what is an in-app help guide? It’s a guide that will assist you in getting the information you need without interrupting the review process.
When in OPEN DISCOVERY, look for this icon and just click to open it.
Different guides will be available, depending on the topic, including videos, multiple guides in one place, and quick definitions.

Have you ever had the need to Pin a Column to the Results Grid in OPEN DISCOVERY? I know I have! Like the Freeze Pane function in Excel, the ability to Pin a Column is helpful when the need arises to scroll through only certain columns in the grid while keeping others set to the left or the right side. Lucky for us, an option now exists for doing exactly that.
When in the Results Grid, simply select the Ha

My favorite feature in LOCAL DISCOVERY is the Tally feature. While LOCAL DISCOVERY may not have all the bells and whistles of analytics like OPEN DISCOVERY, Tally can get you a long way in figuring out what you have in your database, what your timelines look like, and how to tackle your review.
The Tally feature in LOCAL allows you to select a column (such as Custodian) and total up the records you have for each custodian.

When it comes to Trial presentation, time is limited. To increase your efficiency, try some of our Team’s favorite shortcuts in Presentation:
-AD or -AE Using one of these commands will admit the current exhibit into the Admitted workbook. Save a lot of time using this keyboard command instead of dragging and dropping documents into the folder.

Upon creating a Processing and Review Case in OPEN DISCOVERY, an Import Series is auto-generated. This import series is needed to ingest data into Review. This feature contains the fields required for metadata along with the options for the BEGDOC number to be included in a desired Review Case. While the creation of the initial Import Series is automated, you can always create a customized Import Series, should t

“OMG!?! My wrist is killing me!” Has this thought ever crept into your head while linking exhibits in your transcript? I mean, we likely say this when it comes to redacting, but hyperlinking?!? If your transcript marks a never-ending list of exhibits or simply just needs a lot of references, you don’t need to manually insert every link, one by one: Instead, use an alias! Not aliens, alias.
In TRIAL DIRECTOR, aliases allow you to link a doc

When it comes to Trial presentation, practice makes perfect. To ease your practice and pull up documents with ease, the Learning Experience Team has some recommendations for you:
Set standardized naming conventions for your Item ID, Exhibit Number, and Trial Exhibit Number fields. If you have a standardized way of entering information into Evidence, that muscle memory will translate with ease onto Presentation.

When it comes to getting ready for Trial, practice and preparation are key.
As a former Paralegal and Trial Technician, I believe in the tried-and-true method of practicing before being put in the hot seat. Whenever I had a spare moment, I practiced using Presentation Mode and Presentation Preview in TrialDirector. Why? Simply because prac

The fact that I love organization may be why Workbooks in TRIAL DIRECTOR just happen to be one of
