  2. @Don Greco This depends on eligibility. If the license owner is up-to-date on TrialDirector 6 maintenance and the associated serial number eligibility falls within the updated version timeline, the software will activate. Obviously the user needs an internet connection. If the user obtained the updated version via other means and tries to install with a serial number that is out of maintenance and (by proxy) does not fall within that version's timeline - this would be a violation of the End User License Agreement. The software may give an error on activation and direct you to support. Using the example in your post, we assume the user is up-to-date on maintenance and has the latest version installed. If you are continually getting crashing (on launch?) or other issues we have seen the following rectify the issue: Option 1. Confirm this happens on more than one computer. Test installation on a computer that has a completely different Windows image. Option 2. Uninstall TrialDirector 6 and Uninstall any security or antivirus. You should only have Windows Defender on the system for this test. Reboot and reinstall TrialDirector 6. Test launch and other crash related issue. Option 3. Disable Microsoft Data Execution Prevention (DEP). Option 4. TrialDirector 6 is not supported on MacOS/Parallels and it's not supported on a Virtual Machine. It's also not supported on Citrix. Some users can get this to work over RDS/VPN but TD6 wasn't really designed for that. If you are deploying to any of the flavors mentioned in this option, uninstall and reinstall to a standard, bare-bones deployment of Windows 10. Option 5. Test the TrialDirector 6 Sample Case. Does said issue happen with that case? If not, the issue may be related to the case/data where this occurs. Could be a number of other issues (we'd have to see event viewer) but the bulk of TD6 crash problems might be fixed by moving to another computer or uninstalling AV/Security, reboot, reinstall TD6.
  3. Agreed. Since some of the industry has moved to remote depositions via video conferencing, (ZOOM, Teams, etc.) some workflows require post-production. TCP users may receive higher than normal resolution videos. IPRO suggests to check resolution on said videos before replacing them. If the video has a size higher than 1920x1080 (such as 4k) you must convert to 1920x1080 or lower. Once the videos have been normalized, replace using the steps above.
  4. @Don Greco Thanks for your feedback. TrialDirector 360 and Ipro for Desktop have been public-facing since Q4 2017. The latest release for both is 2021.6.0. More information available here. As for TrialDirector 6.8, the last version is 6.8.2070.2019 and was released in May 2019. For users that still have over the phone maintenance, they are welcome to contact our tech support line. For out-of-maintenance clients, you can file an issue over our ticketing system and via Ipro Community. All software eventually reaches Legacy status and TrialDirector 6.8 is no exception. 6. If we have the correct updated version, yet still crashes, can we delete and reinstall if "out of maintenance". In other words, will a faulty BUT ACTIVATED installation cease to Activate if reinstalled ???
  7. I do this often. Problematic Mpeg vids converted to MP4, brought into TCP and replacing vids works most of the time. Often I have to resync the last 3/4 of the vids. This is also beneficial if you ONLY have a .cms file and you need a .MDB or other sync file. Export as folder type DepoView and problem solved.
  8. Good morning! Records that have been reviewed as part of a review batch will still be present in the batch, even after they have been marked as reviewed. If they are marked as reviewed, they will appear highlighted in green when viewed within their own review batch.
  9. If using the review batch function in Ipro Eclipse SE, once the reviewer has tagged a record as Reviewed, are they able to go back later and see their reviewed documents, or are they no longer visible for them in the review process?
  10. Hi MMCSPGF, Thanks for reaching out on IPRO Community! For this issue you'll want to get the Arial Unicode MS font and install it to your local machine. You may also need to REMOVE any fonts that are listed BEFORE the Arial Unicode MS font from the C:\Windows\Fonts directory to get the extracted text tab to display properly.
  11. Any update on this topic?
  12. The current font/formatting in our Eclipse Extracted Text tab is hard to read. Years ago I thought I found a fix on this forum but I cannot seem to find the topic now. Anyone know how to change the font used? The font/size formatting is very compressed and difficult to read.
  13. Hello Tom, We have seen the K0Lite codec cause issues with playing MP4s in TrialDirector 6.8. Would you be able to try uninstalling the K-Lite codec, relaunch TrialDirector 6.8, and attempt to play the MP4s in TrialDirector again?
  14. I've noticed TD can not play almost any of the MP4's I've tried to play (either as standalone MP4's or as depo video synched to MP4's). Not sure what the issue is? The response I get in presentation mode is "The following file(s) could not be found or failed to open:" but then doesn't show the name of the file. I have loaded MPG's and MP4's into the same folder and the MPG's play fine and the MP4's do not so it doesn't appear to be a file location issue. I generally keep my laptop up to date with the most recent K-Lite Codec pack. I'm assuming it must be some MP4 encoding issue. Unfortunately numerous MP4's I received from various vendors are all showing the same issue. Here's the media info output for the MP4: Format : MPEG-4 Format profile : Base Media / Version 2 Codec ID : mp42 (mp42/isom/avc1) File size : 325 MiB Duration : 27 min 4 s Overall bit rate mode : Variable Overall bit rate : 1 677 kb/s Encoded date : UTC 2021-04-12 22:51:45 Tagged date : UTC 2021-04-12 22:51:45 Writing application : TMPGEnc MPEG Smart Renderer 5 Version 5.0.5.7 Video ID : 1 Format : AVC Format/Info : Advanced Video Codec Format profile : Main@L4 Format settings : CABAC / 4 Ref Frames Format settings, CABAC : Yes Format settings, Reference : 4 frames Codec ID : avc1 Codec ID/Info : Advanced Video Coding Duration : 27 min 4 s Bit rate : 1 483 kb/s Width : 1 920 pixels Height : 1 080 pixels Display aspect ratio : 16:9 Frame rate mode : Constant Frame rate : 29.970 (30000/1001) FPS Standard : Component Color space : YUV Chroma subsampling : 4:2:0 Bit depth : 8 bits Scan type : MBAFF Scan type, store method : Interleaved fields Scan order : Top Field First Bits/(Pixel*Frame) : 0.024 Stream size : 287 MiB (88%) Encoded date : UTC 2021-04-12 22:51:45 Tagged date : UTC 2021-04-12 22:51:45 Color range : Limited Color primaries : BT.709 Transfer characteristics : BT.709 Matrix coefficients : BT.709 Codec configuration box : avcC Audio ID : 2 Format : AAC LC Format/Info : Advanced Audio Codec Low Complexity Codec ID : mp4a-40-2 Duration : 27 min 4 s Bit rate mode : Variable Bit rate : 192 kb/s Maximum bit rate : 576 kb/s Channel(s) : 2 channels Channel layout : L R Sampling rate : 48.0 kHz Frame rate : 46.875 FPS (1024 SPF) Compression mode : Lossy Stream size : 36.7 MiB (11%) Default : Yes Alternate group : 1 Encoded date : UTC 2021-04-12 22:51:45 Tagged date : UTC 2021-04-12 22:51:45
  15. Thank you very much. This helps.
  16. Dear KTK, It is not possible to redact field data from an export set. Here is how I would approach this issue: I would first make a new editable field in your review case using Eclipse Admin called "Redacted Subject" and make your normal subject field editable in Eclipse Admin's > Database Field's Field Security settings. For any documents with redacted subjects, I would copy the subject data to the redacted subject field so you have that data still present on your side and delete the subject data value from the normal subject field or replace it with "-SUBJECT REDACTED-". When you export your DAT file, only export the original subject field and do not export the redacted subject field. This will allow you to provide the subject field in your production while also not providing redacted subject information. Hope this helps, Nick Hadder Technical Support Engineer
  17. Is it possible to export a DAT file with information redacted from selected fields? For example, a document's subject line is redacted, and that redaction will be maintained in the exported image and text files, but the recipient of the production also requires subject line metadata in the load file. Any way to generate the DAT file with redacted content removed from the subject line field?
  18. Hi Caitlin, This would create a second production in the production tab.

  20. Will this cause a second production version to appear in the production tab?
  21. Hi Caitlin, Thanks for your question! Unfortunately, there is not a way to generate only a load file from a previous production. However, I believe you can achieve what you're looking for by creating a copy of the target export, removing the settings to overwrite the production numbering, incrementing the volume number, and exporting the production numbers that are currently assigned. You would still need to "re-do" the export, but creating a copy would allow you to make the necessary load file changes without affecting the original production. Keep in mind we are always looking to improve our products. If you'd like to see an option to generate load files based on previous productions I encourage you to Submit a Feature Request directly to our product team.
  22. I have some existing productions that need changes make to the load file - is there a way to generate a new load file for an existing production without deleting existing production and running a new production?
  23. Solved this. My error was to use the .msg file name as the Begdoc number. A warning said that I should not do this but the warning is couched as archive files are not supported. I guess an .msg file is a type of archive file (which I had thought of as .rar or .zip). Upon redoing the ingestion of the .msg collection, the attachments are incorporated into the database.
  24. We received a number of .msg files and I ingested these natives. However, .msg files contain verifiable embedded attachments in .doc and .pdf and other formats but I can't get to these attachments by clicking from within the ingested .msg files. What extra step(s) do I need to take. (I also bulk imaged the collection, but that probably has nothing to do with it). The native file viewer when used on the .msg shows a "live" link to the attachment with a different color but nothing happens when I click on the link. Ideally I would want the .doc and .pdf and other attachments to be processed just like they are natives.
