  1. Hi Dawn - It sounds like you're using Ingest Images, correct? From the information you've provided, I don't see any setting that is incorrect. Just be sure that you've selected Use Filename as BEGDOC and also select Suffix Doc Pages. See the attached photo.
  2. Hi there Anita - when you export a Case Definition file, be sure to include the Tag Palette. This will include any keyboard shortcuts that you've created. These will then be included in any case that you create using the Case Definition File (.CSE).
  3. I wonder if anyone could give me some ideas for workflow/best practices for the archival of Eclipse SE databases? My initial thought is to use the Backup feature in Case Admin together with exporting out a CSE file. These files could then be copied to the archive drive (external hard drive, network share, etc.) Of course, we would also need to manually copy all of the Images, etc. that have been imported to the archive drive too. Then, if we need to restore the database, all we should need to do is create a new case using the CSE file, copy the files back to the active data location, and use the Restore feature in Case Admin. Right? Am I missing something here? Is there a better way to do this? Any thoughts or ideas would be greatly appreciated!

  5. One thing to note about deleting the production metadata - be aware that this method deletes ALL values from the ProdBeg, ProdEnd, ProdBegAtt, ProdEndAtt fields! If you have multiple production numbers written to your Production Fields and have chosen to Append to existing field data rather than Overwrite on the final step of Production under Production Numbering, then you'll need to come up with an alternate method to remove the incorrect values. I would suggest exporting out the affected records to Excel and using Text to Columns to split the data, delete the incorrect values, and then Concatenate the data back to one field. Use this fixed file to import (overlay) the corrected Production Fields back into your database.

  8. Hello All, I was preparing for a training session today where we will be discussing Transcripts and searching them. I found that when I search for a term or phrase in the Quick Search bar for terms that I know exist in the Transcripts, I don't get a Transcript Search Results tab. When I search for the same terms in the Advanced Search dialog using the FullText search: [Full_Text|All_Fields|Contains|court reporter] Also using the Transcript search: [Transcripts|Text|Contains|court reporter] In both instances, I DO get a Transcript Search Results tab. I've confirmed that this is not an environment issue - tested and replicated issue on another computer outside of the environment. I've also repaired the Transcript Database and Rebuilt the Transcript Full Text Index. Working in Eclipse SE version 2016.3.2 (recently downloaded and installed) Any thoughts? Thanks!

  10. Thanks for this information Cody! However, I'm getting requests from clients to search for terms directly within the Quick View or Extracted Text tabs. Meaning that they want to be able to search within the document that is displayed in either of these Views. Or at the very least, be able to get a report of the hits on a document (page #, search hit, etc. - sort of like the Transcript Search Results). The Context Search Report does not quite fit the bill. Do you happen to know if there's anything happening in Development to allow for any of the above?

  13. Diego- How would you make this retroactively work for databases created prior to v2016.3.2? Thanks - Lori
