In Eclipse Web, is your Extracted Text tab missing from the Document Details pane?

  • Navigate to your Eclipse Admin Application and select Case Management to modify your case
  • Choose the appropriate Managing Client & Case
  • Select the Database Fields tab and click the pencil near the center of the page to modify the field security
  • Scroll down to EXTRACTEDTEXT and select either the view or update buttons
  • Navigate back to Eclipse Web and reopen your case

The Extracted Text tab should now be displayed in the document details pane

Hi Sheila,

Thanks for the information! Was this an instance where you had View/Update rights to the EXTRACTEDTEXT field and then you suddenly could not see it?

If the View permission is not set on a field for the default field security on a case, non-super admin users will not be able to see that field in Eclipse Web. If this is happening on all your new cases, check the template you're using for case creation; the permission might be 'off' in there.
