Questions about TrialDirector 360

Hello all,

First I want to say that I prefer TrialDirector over the competition for many reasons and that I have defended it from scrutiny many times. However, when changes need to be made to DVT clips, it's a nightmare, and I'd much prefer to use OnCue for those tasks. I believe that if the future of TD contains improved functionality in this area then you will have a perfect product.

1. Will we be able to export in 16:9?

2. Will changing/arranging/merging/splitting clips and segments be as easy and user-friendly as it is in OnCue?

3. Will we get highlighted clip reports like in OnCue?

Thank you for your time!

Hello Patrick. Thanks for using our forums.

In regards to your questions...

1. Will we be able to export in 16:9?

Yes. In addition to 16:9 we plan to also have closed captions and transitions. We've re-built the video import / export tools so we expect to have less codec issues and restrictions.

2. Will changing/arranging/merging/splitting clips and segments be as easy and user-friendly as it is in OnCue?

Yes.

3. Will we get highlighted clip reports like in OnCue?

If you have an example of a highlighted clip report, please send us an example and we will pass it to our development team.

Thanks again for all your patience.
