Hi All,

I had a question come across of if eCapture can handle certain file types related to CAD drawings and law firms that would work with engineering type documents. The two document types I came across are:

-Creo

-eDrawings

Any input is greatly appreciated

Thanks,

Trevor

Hi Trevor,

Thanks for reaching out!

It does not appear that these filetypes are supported, as I am unable to locate them inside of our list of supported native files. For unsupported files, we can expect to gather the basic filesystem-level metadata and we may be able to extract some pieces of encountered metadata within the documents. However, we would expect these files to give a processing exception during any data extract or processing job. If you're running a processing job, you should likely be able to get image results by performing a native reprocess in QC, provided you have a native viewer capable of displaying those document types. Please note that since the files are not supported, your results may vary significantly!

For future reference, you can also see the list of supported files within our eCapture Documentation. This documentation pack is available on MyIpro in the Downloads section; you'll find the "Ipro ADD Support Native File Formats" PDF located in the "Product Information" folder of this documentation pack.

Let us know if there's anything else we can help with!

Thanks,

Gus
