Persistent highlighting is one of those tools which can be very useful for case review, but there can be some major roadblocks as far as highlighting goes if you aren't aware of some of the details when highlighting terms. Have you come across any big tips as it relates to persistent highlighting or interesting ways to use it? Here are just a few I have seen:

  • Utilize the Keyword lists with your term lists initially to make sure you don't have some junky terms or over-inclusive terms
  • Don't use the color Yellow to highlight your terms in persistent highlights. Yellow is reserved for DT Search Advanced or Quick search highlights and could be confusing if used for persistent terms.
  • Limit the use of asterisks as much as possible in your terms, especially preceding terms, as this can sometimes cause a performance hit when the system is trying to identify the terms

What else have you seen?
