Deposition Transcripts & Linking Exhibits

I have imported a number of deposition transcripts into multiple cases, but I unable to figure out how I get the exhibits in and linked to the transcripts. Has anyone got any ideas? Reading the user manual seems to indicate that the exhibits should be linked to the transcript before the import takes place.

Transcript files can contain "links" to exhibit files internally outside of the software. In Eclipse SE, if a transcript file has the links to the Exhibits present, it will associate the Exhibits to the transcript upon import.

If you have Exhibits that have NOT been linked to transcript yet, you can add these documents to a specific Transcript Annotation by using either the External Link option or Document Link option within the Transcript view (Transcript Annotations) located in Eclipse SE Desktop.

External Link will allow you to point to an Exhibit on disk (preferably, use a file on a network/UNC path).

Document Link will allow you to point to an existing document in the case.

Hopefully this helps!

How do you link to a document when, in the link window you type in the exact docid but the program doesn't take it to the page so you can select the document to link. I'm having to click over 43 times in order to find the screen that has the right document number on it, so I can scroll down the list and click on the right one. With over 50 transcripts to link, this is going to be time consuming. Why is it not picking up the number I want when I type it in exactly as it is in the database?
