When attempting to export data from the Document Grid in Eclipse Web, you may encounter the following error:

There are two most likely causes for this error.

Cause 1:

The data being downloaded will exceed the configured DownloadFileSizeLimitMB value in the ReviewAdmin.SystemSettings table, inside the Eclipse Config database. By default, this value is set to 1,000. For certain very large datasets, it's possible that the total combined output of all the metadata for the documents and fields selected in the document grid may exceed the configured value, which will trigger this error.

Cause 2:

The setting of DownloadFileSizeLimitMB may exceed the system limit, which will trigger an arithmetic overflow in Eclipse when it checks the file size limit. The maximum configurable value for this setting is 2047 and any value larger than this will cause the system to error internally, and will prevent the file from downloading.

This setting can be configured via SQL by updating the 'SettingValue' column in ReviewAdmin.SystemSettings to the desired limit, up to 2047. Bear in mind that this value is in megabytes, so 2047 represents a limit just shy of 2GB!

As an additional note, please be aware that choosing an Excel file format will write the file in an Excel 2007 format, which has an inherent limit of 65k rows, regardless of the settings above. If you wish to export data to Excel format if the dataset is over 65k rows, you will either need to select another format, OR you will need to export the results in the doc grid in multiple parts.
